At least your professors tell you which papers to read. We always got "You're required to read at least two daily papers in addition to the Stater, watch a local newscast, and keep up with the news going on in the world and region." Granted, I don't know how big Gainsville is, but we had the Plain Dealer, the Beacon Journal, the Record-Courier, plus papers like US Today, NY Times, Washington Post, etc. to choose from. And four local news channels to pick from. It made figuring out which one of these outlets your professor was going to quiz you on difficult.
