Animated cartoons on The New Yorker

The New Yorker includes animated cartoons on their Web site. They are short, clever, and well-drawn.

However, you have to sit through a few seconds of intro for each clip. When the clip is only 20 seconds long, why am I sitting through 5 seconds of intro and another 10 seconds of “outro”?

Secondly, there is no context. Some of them are obvious, sure. But in many cases, I was left with a very big “huh?”

Nice try.
