Blog Niche Exploration (part the second)

I notice a lot of information like this floating around the Web. People want to know how to blog successfully. So do newspapers. If it’s important for every journalist to blog, isn’t it just as important for journalists to participate in conversations about successful blogging, whether those blogs are news-oriented or not?

Just Google “every journalist should blog.”

Do you write about how to blog? Do you know how to blog? Does your local newspaper know how to blog? Do any of your other media outlets know how to blog?

  • Do you write about how to blog?

Heh. One of the first things a blogger learns to do is write about blogging. :-) I call it navel-gazing (meta-blogging, in academese), and if you peruse the archives of even the most ancient of bloggers (Instapundit, for example), you’ll find plenty of thoughts about blogging.

For those with interests in social policy, navel-gazing is frequently followed by the “is blogging journalism?” debate.
